Why should you join SunTrust Robinson Humphrey?

High degree of responsibility.
Our Associates are charged with a high degree of responsibility for their assigned transactions. This approach gives them a unique opportunity for enhanced professional development. Associates also take a leading role in many client activities, including pitching and executing deals.

Smaller transaction teams.
Transaction teams are small, typically comprised of a Managing Director, Vice President, Associate and Analyst. In this environment, everyone's opinion is heard and respected. Smaller transaction teams facilitate communication among junior and senior team members, while simultaneously creating greater opportunities for junior-level bankers to play a significant role in each transaction. Associates have every opportunity to take on as much work as possible, to challenge themselves and to enrich their capabilities as valuable team members.

Diverse transaction types.
As an employee of a full-service investment bank, the Associate can benefit from exposure to a wide variety of transactions, including initial public offerings, public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts and various financial advisory services.

Exposure across all industry sectors and within product groups.
During the first six months, Associates are encouraged to participate in transactions across a number of industries. Following this initial period, Associates then focus on a particular industry, providing them the opportunity to develop industry and product knowledge and make more significant contributions to transaction teams.

Highly valued team members.
Associates are encouraged to think creatively, regardless of experience. Because the ultimate goal is to provide clients with optimal solutions, constructive thoughts and innovative ideas are of utmost importance to the team. Thinking outside of the box and developing imaginative answers to complex problems are not only valued, but also encouraged. The Associate will have the chance to contribute immediately and play a key role in advising clients regarding critical decisions that significantly impact their businesses.

Talented people and networking opportunities.
Talent is undoubtedly what attracts the highest caliber of candidates to SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Associates will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and colleagues that are intelligent, stimulating and well rounded from diverse backgrounds, experiences and disciplines. This will allow Associates to develop a network of fellow professionals that can be leveraged throughout their careers.

Firm culture.
We provide a unique, collegial environment where people are motivated and hard working, yet value quality of life. Our professionals are competitive, ambitious and goal-oriented but are also supportive, respectful and appreciative of one another.

Where are the opportunities?

The majority of our Associates will be placed in our headquarters in Atlanta, the largest city in the Southeast, with international influence to complement its southern hospitality. SunTrust Robinson Humphrey also has satellite investment banking offices in Boston and Nashville.
