Who is SunTrust Robinson Humphrey?
SunTrust Robinson Humphrey is the full-service investment banking arm of

Robinson-Humphrey Company and SunTrust Equitable Securities Corporation. We
provide a full range of financial and advisory services to enable our clients

and loyalty.
SunTrust Robinson Humphrey concentrates on distinct but complementary lines of
business: Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and Financial Risk
Management. Equity Capital Markets includes Investment Banking, Equity Research
and Sales and Trading. Investment Banking provides a full-range of services
including initial public offerings, public and private offerings of equity and
debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, exclusive sales, private valuations,
divestitures, fairness opinions, leveraged buyouts and various financial advisory services.
How does SunTrust Robinson Humphrey prepare its Analysts to succeed?
SunTrust Robinson Humphrey's Investment Banking Analyst Program is a two-year
program designed to provide recent college graduates with an introduction to
investment banking through an intensive learning experience. Analysts play
integral roles on project teams by working closely with senior bankers on all
aspects of investment banking transactions. After a three-week classroom training
period, Analysts act as generalists for the first six months, serving clients in
various industries with an assortment of investment banking products. This
generalist orientation offers Analysts the opportunity to develop a broad base
of skills while also gaining exposure to a wide variety of industries. After six
months, Analysts join industry-specific teams in order to develop expertise in a
particular industry.
Why should you join SunTrust Robinson Humphrey?
High degree of responsibility.
Our Analysts are charged with a high degree of responsibility
for their assigned transactions. This approach gives them a unique opportunity for
enhanced professional development. Analysts also take a leading role in many non-client
activities, including industry practice group planning and recruiting.
Smaller transaction teams.
Transaction teams are small, typically comprised of a Managing
Director, Vice President, Associate and Analyst. In this environment, everyone's
opinion is heard and respected. Smaller transaction teams facilitate communication
among junior and senior team members, while simultaneously creating greater opportunities
for junior-level bankers to play a significant role in each transaction. Analysts have
every opportunity to take on as much work as possible, to challenge themselves and to
enrich their capabilities as valuable team members.
Diverse transaction types.
As an employee of a full-service investment bank, the Analyst can
benefit from exposure to a wide variety of transactions, including initial public
offerings, public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and
acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts and various financial advisory services.
Exposure across all industry sectors and within product groups.
During the first six months, Analysts are encouraged to participate
in transactions across a number of different industries. Following this initial period,
Analysts will focus on a particular industry, providing them the opportunity to develop
industry and product knowledge and make more significant contributions to transaction teams.
Highly valued team members.
Investment bankers are encouraged to think creatively, regardless of
their experience. Because the ultimate goal is to provide clients with optimal solutions,
constructive thoughts and innovative ideas are of utmost importance to the team. Thinking
outside of the box and developing imaginative answers to complex problems are not only
valued, but also encouraged. The Analyst will have the chance to contribute immediately
and play a key role in advising clients with critical decisions that significantly impact
their businesses
Talented people and networking opportunities.
Talent is undoubtedly what attracts the highest caliber of candidates
to SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Analysts will have the opportunity to work closely with
clients and colleagues that are intelligent, stimulating and well rounded from diverse
backgrounds, experiences and disciplines. This will allow Analysts to develop a network
of fellow professionals that can be leveraged throughout their careers.
Firm culture.
We provide a unique, collegial environment where people are motivated
and hard working, yet value quality of life. Our professionals are competitive, ambitious
and goal-oriented, but are also supportive, respectful and appreciative of one another.
Where are the opportunities?
The majority of our Analysts will be placed in our headquarters in Atlanta, the largest
city in the Southeast, with international influence to complement its southern hospitality.
SunTrust Robinson Humphrey also has satellite investment banking offices in Boston and Nashville.
